Madsen Concert

Posted by on November 12, 2010

Last night I was at my third concert, and it was the concert of the German Indie Rock band Madsen!
Since I thought they were the best performance at the highfield festival, it was no question to go to their concert near Frankfurt yesterday! My friend and I got a ticket for our friend for his birthday, and Caro and her friend came along as well.

The first band was Eternal Tango from Luxembourg and they were really good as well! After the concert I had a little chat with the singer of the band at the merchandise stand, he’s a really nice guy. The band is coming back to Germany in February, also playing at the Rind in Rüsselsheim on the 12th of February (if I remember right) and I’m sure I’ll be there!

Madsen’s performance was outstanding, and so was the audience. This was by far my best concert, as the interaction of band and audience was much fun as well. The singer talked to us a lot and he did some improvising of old songs like “Shoppen Gehen” as well and after a string of his guitar ripped he decided to celebrate the birthday of the drummer instead. We were all singing for him and then he got a mini drum kit which he was allowed to destroy. The pieces were thrown into the audience 🙂
I wish I could relive the whole concert over and over again, I hope I’ll have the chance to go to another one someday. They are worth every penny and more.
