On the last day in the US we had BBQ with some of my boyfriend’s ex-co-workers. I have never had Korean BBQ but I know a lot of my Singaporean friends crave for it every so often so I was very curious to try it out.
In the beginning the waitresses brought a lot of small little side dishes to our table, like lettuce, kimchi, and some other things. Then they started putting the meat on the grill – beef, pork, chicken and later also small little octopus and shrimp. After the meat is grilled you take some on your plate along with what you like from the side dishes and wrap it in small round and flat I believe rice based slices or lettuce leaves.
What I loved about Korean BBQ is that the “wraps” are very small so you get to try loads of different combinations and especially meats before you actually get full. I already can’t wait to have my next Korean BBQ! 🙂
